Advent Resources 2024

We are called to Ignatian contemplation and reflective prayer to encourage us during the season of Advent.

Jesuit Prayer – Receive the daily Scripture reading, an Ignatian reflection, and a short prayer each day through the app, on the website, or by signing up for the daily email. We also offer personal responses to prayer requests. All are remembered in Masses celebrated by the Jesuits.

On Our Way to Bethlehem: A Pilgrimage of Hope (2024 Women’s Advent Retreat – Our 2024 Advent Women’s Retreat centers our prayer life in the liturgical calendar when we hold hope. Hope for the Christ Child to be born.  Hope for Love to be born within us all. Every week you will receive a reflection based on the Sunday Advent Gospel. Receive a weekly reflection for your own personal retreat, presented by women from schools in the Midwest province.

Advent Reflections from Office of Ignatian Spirituality – Prepare for the coming of Christ with weekly audio reflections written by young adults. Young adults are invited to join online small faith sharing groups.

Waiting & Wassailing – Each day you’ll receive a song and a story, a chance to wassail and wait, presented by the Jesuit Media Lab community. Let’s wait for Christ’s coming together with joy and singing.

Standing in the Promises – A 4-week, virtual Advent retreat presented by Ignatian Ministries.

Arts & Faith: Advent – Receive a weekly video commentary about a work of art inspired by the Sunday Scriptures.

Advent Simplicity Challenge – Join Ignatian Solidarity Network for daily challenges for ways to live simply during this season.

Advent & Christmas Reflections on the Gift of the Eucharist – Presented by Heart to Heart, sign up to receive weekly video reflections from Fr. J. Michael Sparough, SJ, and daily audio reflections from speakers sharing what the Eucharist means in their lives.
