Advent Resources 2025

We are called to Ignatian contemplation and reflective prayer to encourage us during the season of Advent.

Jesuit Prayer – Receive the daily Scripture reading, an Ignatian reflection, and a short prayer each day through the app, on the website, or by signing up for the daily email. We also offer personal responses to prayer requests. All are remembered in Masses celebrated by the Jesuits.

Our Pilgrimage to the Frontier  – Our 2025 Advent Women’s Retreat focuses on a Pilgrimage to the Frontier. Advent calls us to active, prayerful preparation and service to others. As women, we know there are many “frontiers” for which to consider in our faith and our lives. We find ourselves caught in tension of a culture of selfishness yet desiring comfort in Christ’s counter-cultural message of love, peace, and abundant welcome. Join us as we walk to the frontiers, as the Holy Family did so many years ago, toward hope and light.

Advent Reflections from Office of Ignatian Spirituality – Prepare for the coming of Christ with weekly audio reflections written by young adults. Young adults are invited to join online small faith sharing groups.

Waiting & Wassailing – Each day you’ll receive a song and a story, a chance to wassail and wait, presented by the Jesuit Media Lab community. Let’s wait for Christ’s coming together with joy and singing.

The Gifts of Advent – Receive daily emails reflecting on the non-tangible gifts that lead us to the manger.

Living Into Advent: An Ignatian Path of Prayer – A daily Advent prayer guide presented by Ignatian Ministries and Becky Eldredge.

Arts & Faith: Advent – Receive a weekly video commentary about a work of art inspired by the Sunday Scriptures.

Advent Simplicity Challenge – Join Ignatian Solidarity Network for daily challenges for ways to live simply during this season.

And the Word Was Made Flesh – Incarnation Stories for Advent and Christmas – Presented by Heart to Heart, each Sunday features a video homily and reflection from Fr. Michael Sparough, SJ, with daily audio reflections on the Incarnation from Jesuits and lay colleagues.

Advent Examen – Pray the Examen with themes from the Advent season.

Advent Reflections from Creighton University – Prayers and reflections on Advent themes

Advent Calendar for Adults – Loyola Press offers an Advent experience inviting you to slow down and discover quiet moments of Advent hope.

Advent Resources from Xavier University – Quotes, prayers, and links from Xavier University.
