Lent Resources 2021

We are called to Ignatian contemplation and reflective prayer to encourage us in the season of Lent. Below we highlight Lent resources in the tradition of Ignatian spirituality.

Midwest Jesuits Way of the Cross – Reflections on the 14 Stations of the Cross written by Jesuits and lay colleagues from the Midwest province.  Available in written or audio format.

Jesuit Prayer – Receive the daily Scripture reading, an Ignatian reflection, and a short prayer each day through the app, on the website, or by signing up for the daily email. We also offer personal responses to prayer requests; all are remembered in Masses celebrated by the Jesuits.

An Ignatian Guide to Lent – This Lent, the Jesuit Conference invites you to use Ignatian spirituality to breathe new insight into these sacred rituals. Learn about Lent and about Ignatian spirituality through the lived experiences of fellow practitioners.

Along the Way: A Jesuit Pod – A prayer podcast with Br. Matt Wooters, SJ, and Damian Torres-Botello, SJ, two Jesuits in their final stages of formation, excited about prayer and eager to share prayer with anyone willing to join them.

400 Minutes 4 Refugees – Join JRS/US in our Lenten challenge by offering moments of your day to prayer, fasting, and almsgiving in solidarity with refugees.

Jesuit Refugee Service Stations of the Cross – Pray these Stations of the Cross to accompany Jesus on his journey, as we watch and pray over displaced people around the world.

Ignatian Guide to Forgiveness: Lenten Read-Along – Join in a special Lenten read-along with Loyola Press. We’ll be reading The Ignatian Guide to Forgiveness: 10 Steps to Healing at a relaxed pace that will allow time to savor the reading during Lent.

Growing in Friendship with God this Lent – This Lent, grow in your friendship with God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit with a special series by the dotMagis bloggers. We share Fr. Barry’s meditations for the Wednesdays of Lent and a reflection inspired by each on IgnatianSpirituality.com.

Abide in His Heart: Online Lenten Retreat – Join Fr. Joe Laramie, SJ, national director of the Pope’s Worldwide Prayer Network, for a video retreat.  Three talks are released weekly beginning February 18.

From Ashes to Glory (Examen during Lent by Joe Tetlow, SJ) – From Ashes to Glory invites you to take up the practice of reflecting on your day, its gifts and graces, and the progress you are making in life with Christ. It’s a way of praying the Examen through Lent, with materials by Fr. Joseph Tetlow, SJ.

Steadfast: A Call to Love – Join writers from the Jesuit and broader Catholic network as we seek to answer this question, renewing each day throughout Lent our commitment to care for both our fellow human beings and our common home.

Living Lent Daily – Sign up to receive a daily email with messages of encouragement and exploring Lenten themes, inspired by the new book I Am with You: Lessons of Hope and Courage in Times of Crisis by Cardinal Timothy M. Dolan.
