The Midwest Province of the Society of Jesus has announced that Brendan Conroy has been named the Associate Provincial Assistant for Secondary and Pre-Secondary Education. Conroy will succeed Cathy Karl, who is retiring this summer.
Conroy joins the Midwest Jesuits from St. Rita of Cascia High School on Chicago’s south side, where he has served as principal for the past eight years. He was the founding principal of Christ the King Jesuit Prep in Chicago and has served in many roles at St. Ignatius College Prep (Chicago).
A graduate of the University of Notre Dame with Master’s degrees in both English and Education, he is the father of five children, ranging in age from the eighth grade to post-college. Conroy will begin his new role at the Province offices later this summer.
The Midwest Jesuits welcome Brendan Conroy, and look forward to his insight and leadership in this important position.
